No. Guides can seek clearer skies and darker places, but cloud and solar activity decide whether you see an aurora. Treat any guarantee as a refund or repeat policy, not a promise of nature.
Finavia gives the distance as 25 kilometres. The airport bus serves Saariselkä, while private transfers and rental cars are alternatives.
Not for a central stay with organised safaris: the village is compact and many operators arrange pickup. A car adds flexibility for Inari, Kiilopää and independent trips, but winter darkness and road conditions deserve respect.
Lake Inari, Siida museum and Inari village require a road trip north. Saariselkä has no historic city centre, harbour or beach; its strengths are the fells, snow activities and the national park.
